Fred and Mary Hagemann were farmers. Their farm was located just Northeast of Ft. Atkinson in Sections 8 & 9 as seen in the Plat Map to the right.

FORT ATKINSON ¬¬– Services for Mrs. Mary Hageman, 91, who died at her home Monday morning [31 Mar 1980], will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson; wake service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Chekal Funeral Home; burial in church cemetery; survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Cornelia Bina of Spillville; two sons, Clarence and Virgil, both of Fort Atkinson; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Nick Hageman of Fort Atkinson.1

Birth record shows Hageman son. Charles sister, Cornelia’s obituary mentioned 3 brothers who all died before her, including Clarence, Virgil and Charles. I have assumed this unnamed boy was Charles. I found no further records for Charles. He was not on the 1930 US Federal census, so assume his death was before 1930.
