Conrad Dörr Family

Conrad Dörr

Conrad Dörr, son of Ludwig Dörr
born:       1647 in Rüdigheim, Amöneburg, Mainz, Prussia, Holy Roman Empire
died:        25 Dec 1718 at the age of 71 in Kirchhain, Hessen-Cassel, Prussia, Holy Roman Empire
married:   Elisabeth before 1679 in Rüdigheim, Amöneburg, Mainz, Prussia, Holy Roman Empire

Note:   During this time frame, Conrad would have been spelled with a ‘C’. Later on during the late 19th and early 20th century spelling in Germany changed drastically. One change includes the spelling of words starting with a C that has a K sound. This change took place over time and places throughout Germany. This is often why there is confusion over C names, such as Catherine and Katherine. Also place names, such as Cassel to Kassel and Cologne on maps as Cöln to Köln. The city of Cassel, for example, changed to Kassel in 1926.

Elisabeth (Unknown) Dörr
born:    1660 in Kirchhain Hesse-Cassel, Prussia, Holy Roman Empire
died:     10 Apr 1717 at the age of 57 in Kirchhain, Hesse-Cassel, Prussia, Holy Roman Empire

On this map, Rüdigheim is at the southeast base of the mountain that Amöneburg and the castle of the same name, Burg Amöneburg, lies on. See current photo on my post Rüdigheim, Amöneburg, Marburg-Biedenkopf, Hesse, Germany.
