La Coruña, Spain

Saturday, June 4th we docked in La Coruña, Spain, which is located at the farthest Northwestern part of Spain.

After a relaxing morning we went on a short excursion “La Coruña City Tour”. It’s a cute and historic town, known for its Roman lighthouse, the Tower of Hercules, which has sweeping coastal views.

In the medieval old town is the arcaded Plaza de Maria Pita, surrounded by narrow pedestrianized lanes. In this square is the Estatua de Maria Pita, a statue of a 16th-century woman who warned the town of an invasion by Sir Francis drake.

The weather was perfect!

Tonight we went to Deal or No deal game show which is always entertaining. Later in the evening John went to the Love & marriage show which was a hoot.
